Static or dynamic pages best for seo?

Hi Newbie here so please be gentle with me.

My current website uses dynamic url's. However i have read that static pages are better for the search engines. The website lacks a bit of user friendliness/ features as far as my adding features is concerned.
Therefore I am thinking of purchasing something like Shopfactory Pro to build a new website and hopefully import all my products.
Can anyone tell me if Shopfactory Pro / static pages would help my seo in google and has anybody got any comments on Shopfactory good or bad?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure about Shopfactory Pro, but you are right static is generally better, unless you have clean URLs. Some shopping cart providers will create mirrored static HTML pages that can be spidered while the original pages lie on their network.

I would say if you can not get all of your pages spidered you at least need some lead in pages for SEO so you can optimized for
_____ merchandise, ______ apparel _______ accessories or whatever.
