Shopping Cart Suggestion

Hello All-

I know the question "Whats a good shopping cart?" has been asked a hundred times but I've been through all the posts and haven't found what I'm looking for. So I am going to be real specific and hopefully someone will be able to suggest a solution.

I am currently using www. mypaysystems .com (Im using both their shopping cart and their payment proccessing) but I have outgrown them

Im looking for a cart or a solution that could be integrated into my existing webpage rather than a "e-commerce site building program". The way my current cart works is the Add to Cart button of each product has a unique url that goes to mypaysystems database (which I entered). That part works great.

I've run into the following limitations, though, with their cart:
No Ability to Add Handling (Crucial due to varied weight of products)
The Continue Shopping button will only go to a designated url - not back to where they were last
VAT (tax) cannot be calculated - It must be included in price (Not a big issue as most prices in Ireland include VAT)

My site is http://www.yourfavouriteshop.com so you can see how it is set up now.

I will probably stay with mypaysystems for my credit card processing because they accept Euro and pay out Euro, so the solution would just need to pass the variables from the order page to them.

Is there a simple solution and I am just missing it. I know HTML and Javascript and would probably be able to figure out most other solutions. OSCommerce is the most suggested option but I believe (and may very well be wrong) this would need a major redesign on my part.

If there is a better forum then just let me know

Looking Forward to any advise that can be given,

Jason

Shopping cart you can use

Hi there,
i can recommend a shopping cart software comapny called RomanCart.
All you have to do is enter the code for your button and your away. Have a look and see what you think.
there url is www.romancart.com.
I am implementing this software at my new site ( www.echo-art.com ) but have not yet gone live. It was recommended by my worldpay rep from the bank of scotland so it should be good.
Hope this helps you
phil

That is a great cart system...I just wish I would have found it 2 months ago when I started losing sales because of mypaysystems cart. I owe you a pint.

I might take you up on that lol. I found that since we started our business idea we have gone through the bank for all our options and our advisor has been top class. If you are in britain and open a business account with the Royal Bank of Scotland you will get alot of benifits (including £100 off of the price of Worldpay!!). It's well worth the money.
