Security Certificate Error - google analytics code?
Hi there
I am in desperate need of help to solve my problem. A few weeks ago, I added the Google Analytics code to my homepage. Things have been OK until recently when Google started indexing my homepage as https:// instead of http://. This has just happened - maybe becuase my site has been recently indexed. It now means that people cannot visit my site without recieving the following error There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website. Click here to close this webpage. Continue to this website (not recommended). More information I have since had conficting advice. Poeple have pointed out it is probably the analytics code but others are using it OK. It doesn't make sense to me and I am not to clued up on this type of thing. My url is samanthaluck then dot and then a co and a dot and then finally uk (sorry - I can't post my url due to forum rules) A search in google for 'samantha luck' will bring up my homepage. You will see it begins with https://.... Please can anyone help me with this. I do not know what else to do. I am assuming I should just probably delete the code and do without analytics unless anyone can offer some helpful advice as to why this has suddenly happened. Thanks Samantha |
