Question Pls suggest a good shopping cart application

Hi,
I own a store in Sri Lanka that sells glassware and crystalware. I would like to develop a shopping website for my products, that looks and feels like www.crateandbarrel.com. They also sell glassware and the way in which it is is laid out is just beautiful. Ideally I would like to replicate it.

Could someone suggest a good shopping cart application that I could use to develop a website with the same capabilities as crate and barrel. It will be hosted on my server.

I have my inventory database running on Filemaker Pro. Can shopping carts link to or make use of the database so that the stock availability of each item is displayed on the web page?

I also need to be able to add new items regularly without too much hassle.

Thank you.

Just about any shopping cart will work, some may require more modifying than others. Why don't you start with a good free cart and modify the hell out of it.

oscommerce has a good cart with decent functions.

You might want to take a look at PDG Cart - It'll do what you are asking for, and can be installed on Linux, Windows or Mac servers, and is much easier to use and customize than OScommerce.
