New Industry? (Virtual Real Estate)

I got this great idea while trying to optimize my website:

Facts:
- There is a HUGE commercial interest in selling products online.

- One of the biggest problems is getting ranked high (other online advertising venues like Adsense costs money).

- New sites take 7 months to appear (sandbox)

- Backlinks are difficult to obtain, especially with low PR.

Solution:
Virtual Real Estate
I was lucky to register a great domain names like: http://www.BuyCheap.us and http://www.ohcheap.com. Let's say that a computer site wanted to sell computers, but doesn't want to take the time to build up a web site and spend resources on backlinks (time is money).

They can come to me, and I can lease out a domain name that is generic enough (like http://www.BuyCheap.us) that has already been registered for 7 months, has a PR6 and thousands of backlinks- which is totally feasible with my network of sites.

All I would have to do is change the anchor text to whatever they want.. most likely Buy Cheap Computers.

There will be no sandbox effect, site would have an easier time gaining rank, and they have a good name that is easy to remember.

What do you think?
Please, I welcome you to rip apart the logic here... it's how I learn and it's how I established a successful presense on the internet.

Interesting idea. it would work. Only thing is a lot of webmasters will be scared to lease a domain from someone. What happened if they leased the name, work hard on it, getting sales, and then you decide to not renew the lease.

Thanks for your comments. I see this as the same thing as renting a commercial property (on a large scale), or purchasing a text link (on a small scale). People have faith in the webmasters to leave the text link up after the purchase. I hope that since there is faith is this, why not have faith in a domain name? Excellent comment.

I also put up a temporary page at http://www.buycheap.us. Any other advantages that you guys can think of?

I'm happy to say that this posted idea on other forums are also getting positive feedback. I welcome all critiques! Keep them coming!

If I lease a commercial building though, I have state laws in place to protect me. What protects me here?

Took you a while to come up with this one did it? You aren't the first one to think of this and many are busy trying to find ways to successfully implement it. Yours truly included. ;)
