Need E-commerce site

My company has a website (all HTML) but is not currently selling any products online. We need to make that move. We have somewhere between 5,000-10,000 different SKUs, and have sales every month or so. We need someone that can build us an effective, great-looking site, and who is also very good at SEO. Anybody know of a good firm to tackle this for us?

None at all. They're entered manually into each page. Complete separate from our inventory systems.

Can you give us an overview, a brief description of your company's business operations, products, locations etc. I can recommend a good one for you. You can PM me about the details...

What's the site anyway?

Hello,

It seems that you need to add a shopping cart software to your web site. It will be very difficult to handle 5-10K of products without a special ecommerce software.

You can find shopping cart developers at hotscripts.com. And they may recommend web development companies which are good in creating e-commerce sites.

I recommend ASPdotnetstorefront all the way. Super customizable and it can easily handle all those products.

My company uses solutions from white-box-ecommerce and it's ASP based, and is lightening quick at doing queries to the product database (unlike PHP/MySQL). It's a pro ecommerce system with a high price tag but it can be upgraded to run on Microsoft Server SQL for > 5000 products. The number of modules that can be plugged in is very useful, email broadcasting, sales trending, multi-store-fronting (amazing system), vouchers, competitions, SEO modules and many many more.

Yahoo charges commission to run their shopping cart. That would be a bad move for this company.

yes but cost of IT would be alot lower (server maintenance, cart upgrade, security, all that stuff) so it evens out....but again it depends on daily volum of sales...for my cient the yahoo commission is pocket change so they dont mind!

Ive just bought an xcart and done som mods and stuff. Bought a few mods as i have very basic skills.

Will be great when finished but a certain amount of skills, or a moderate amount of money, is required.

Look into it.
