Moving Store Question
If anyone can help me with this scenario, I'd really appreciate it. In a nutshell, I'm debating about moving my online store (currently approximately 1500 products under domain 2, and a different server then domain 1) 'back' to my original website (domain 1). The problem is it seems no matter what I do I can't get my site to come up in google searches and our visitor stats from google are horrible. It is listed and they've indexed approximately 800 pages (out of 1500 html pages) over the last year so I haven't a clue why we don't come up in searches, as we used to come up on the first page on almost any product. However, domain 1 does very well, in fact, an added page to it a month ago has already gained a 4/10 rating.
Question: Would domain 1 help my search results a lot more then domain 2 (domain 1 is updated a lot, news, active forum, etc.) where as domain 2 is just a store, although I change the content about once a week. Secondly though, how would it affect me because the content would be the same, just moved? Any tips is greatly appreciated. Also, for what it's worth, about 2 weeks ago our hits were huge on domain 2 and lasted for about a week, but now we're right back where we started. Thanks. |

There could be reasons why you are not showing well in google that can not be determined without a look at your site. If you want others to see your site you could post the URL with your request in the site review section.
Otherwise consider having a pro take a look at your site. To find a pro who offers services read lots of threads here and you should be able to find someone who can help based upon the quality of their posts. There are plenty of super SEOs here but be sure you check the postings of anyone who offers their services to see if you think that they will be helpful.
