Live Chat Net Worth (in your opinion)
Our business is considering a live chat implementation. We are fairly high volume - we usually run 3 customer service phone lines at a time.
It is the assumption of my partners that the live chat feature would be a popular and cost saving measure. I am tempted to disagree about the cost because we use VOIP and our phone cost is low.
I would consider adding it purely as a value added feature for our customer base . . . I guess I am looking for the overall opinion of others who have implemented live chat in a fairly busy e-commerce scenario . . . is it worth it IYO?
Also - does anyone have a recommendation for a full featured PHP/MySQL live chat implementation (JavaScript client side - no flash please)?
