How To Improve Revenue Of eCommerce Website

Hello All,

I am working on e Commerce website & doing SEO activities. I have completed on page SEO & meta creation for this specific website. I have created meta for 550 + pages combining category pages, sub category pages & product pages. I want to go with organic SEO & make strong presence on Google. Which are best methods to get high traffic & revenue.

I have core concept of:

1. Off Page SEO
2. PPC (I don't want to do this)
3. Social Media Marketing
4. Product Wish List
5. Product & Photo Sharing
6. Product Feed Management

I have implemented all concept on my previous project. But, I am not satisfied with that. Right now, I want to do some new & innovative things to get it done.

Can any one help me to give me some new ideas about it?

You left off the two most important - link building (or link attraction) and landing page optimization.

Focus on those two, and your bank account will thank you.

If you are looking to increase revenue this probably belongs in e-commerce development. If you want people to take a look at something specific on your site try site reviews.

Given just what is in your post I am at a loss for what exactly you are looking for.

As jsteele has said, there are three key principles with generating revenue for any ecommerce site.

1. Get people to you site
2. Keep them there, and compel them to buy something from you
3. Get them to come back and back and back!

Exactly the same model as any bricks and morter business too

It's the execution of the above that make's you a good or bad site.

I think landing page optimization is similar with on page optimization. I have little ideas about landing page optimization which is useful to improve click through rate. Am I right about my concept?

Thanks EGOL,

I checked book on Amazon. I am really eager to buy this book. I recommend to my company regarding this book. I hope that, This book will on my hand very soon. I am from India so, I am not able to attend conference. If any other way with similar concept so, I am always welcome it. Thanks again !!

jsteele823 agrees: (0) That book will answer the question you had for me. Landing Page Op is very different from
on-page optimization in SEO terms. It's more of a conversion/usability thing.

This is my ultimate goal to create good branding. So, visitors will come back & back. It means - generate direct traffic. But, I want to promote my website such a way so, new visitors vs return visitors ratio always gaining with new visitors.

Aside from building links and content, try creating newsletters and provide content, promotions and other membership privileges to keep existing visitors coming back. Offer a referral program. Get your products to go viral. Make sure your calls to action are clear and lead directly where you want them to go. Good internal site structure. For you reality, run A/B tests and see what kind of a checkout process produces the best results. Build up the authority of your site and make sure you have secure checkouts and customers feel comfortable buying from you. Using logos of the brands you deal with, SSL certificates and other security logos can go a long way with making a customer feel comfortable. Also, make sure your privacy policy isn't buried in your site. Make it visible and easy for people to find and read.
