Help!!! x-cart

Hello . I am new to the forum ,
I recently got x-cart shopping cart software, and started working with it. I think to start i am doing ok . but I don't know how to insert the big frame or picture in the very top of the page,When I do. It seem something is pushing it to the left because it does not appear as the original size.
An other big problem for me is the email. I have been looking in the forums and nothing about how to set it up correctly using x-cart to send email within the page like that what's called "SEND TO A FRIEND". And I also want to host my own email server.

can someone recommend a very good looking theme for x-cart??
INFO: i AM RUNNING WINDOWS XP PRO SP2 APACHE ,MYSQL , PHP . mY INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER BLOCKS PORT 25 But I am able to use an alternative port in place of 25. exchange server and mdeamon work to slow for me .I need a very simple and fast email software to be able send and receive emails from my server (hosting) any suggestions?
