E-Commerce index page
Which is best for SEO for an e-commerce website?
To have the e-commerce store as your index page? Or to create an HTML page as an index page that leads to the e-commerce page? |

Both. Depends upon your goals and what you have to work with.

I usually like to have a portal page for any e-commerce site before the store. This portal page can contains description to the company in order to build up your company image. You can also put a lot of marketing information including upcoming sales, etc. In some case, the portal page can be just a simple HTML page.
