Doubleclick - ad network - What do you think?

I was wondering is anyone here has any experience with doubleclick.
I'm thinking of putting some of their ads on one of my sites and they seem a lot more advanced than most of the networks out there. I know they have been acquired by Google - but their offering seems light years ahead.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

What I can tell you is doubleclick has infected my computer and it is like being trapped at the bottom of the well in Silence of the lambs.

One thing I can tell you is that if I don't have adblock active some sites drag for up to ten seconds or so waiting for doubleclick content to load.
I have no experience advertising with them. They have a rather questionable history/reputation including a lot of popup/popunder ads.

Hey I am new here. I found this description after making a regular check on my system with an antispyware software (SpyHunt 3) that says:

Quote:
DoubleClick is a banner advertising company. They have been accused of user profiling. They may monitor personal information, such as phone numbers, addresses and locations.
doubleclick.com

Me myself I have no doubt that these companies collect data (even if you don't want them to) to use somehow against you. Information like where you buy things, how often you buy things and who knows, maybe even credit cards information since they collect all the data from the fields you fill.

I hope it was useful...
