Domain Names - ICANN ?

I couldn't find a better place for this, so hopefully this section is ok.

I have an ecommerce site that we've been running for about 4 years.

Just recently we noticed that another person registered a domain name that is VERY similiar.

Here's an example:
ours- xxx.seochat.com
theirs- xxx.seochats.com

Is there an alternative to WIPO ( http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/fees/index.html )? WIPO charges about $1500 which is a lot of money. I'm sure that we will win because we are almost complete with our Company Name Trademark, which is also the domain name. It's just that $1500 is a lot of money, and this other person isn't the only one. There are at least 3 other sites using VERY similiar domain names (which were registered after ours). (Luckily $1500 covers 1 to 5 domain names.)

Any suggests? Or is the $1500 for WIPO the only option? (I know about getting a trademark/copyright lawyer, they cost a lot also).

There is no such thing as "I'm sure we wil win". Even AOL has lost several domain trademark battles.

You can try, but I must warn you, it will take a long time, and you may end up loosing the case.

That's true. What I'm wondering, is there an alternative to paying $1500 to WIPO.

I noticed you might be able to help me to identify an organization other than WIPO to help me get my personal domain name back.

The person in question, registered my personal name for the sole purpose of harassing, stalking and slandering me. $1,500 for WIPO is out of the question. I have reported this to the law and they say they will be filing criminal harassment charges, especially since he issued a threat to my life.

Can I get some time of court order to get him to hand over the domain?
