AIM vs. SIM
Today I spoke to some guys at Bankcard services. They had told me that come October of this year, VISA and MC will be releasing a list of approved shopping cart scripts, and that Magento is not on it. Furthermore, they were telling me that I had to change my cart from AIM to SIM, but why the hell would I want to have my customers check out on another site? Has anyone had this same issue? I'm using authorize.net for my gateway and will be using Bankcard services platform to process the payment(maybe not since Magento seems incompatible with SIM).

Do you have any more information about how the Visa MC rules? Any idea if they will effect customers with other providers (ie not bankcard services)? |

Here is the email they sent:
John, Attached is the list of Visa / MC certified shopping cart list - it is a bit different from the list under Auth.net, which is because Auth.net hasn't taken into consideration the fact that those shopping carts not under Visa / MC is required to either obtain new certifed shopping carts or adopt SIM. Thanks. I'd post it here, but I don't know how to do that. You can google it and should be able to find it there. After reading through the pdf, I'm not sure if it's stating what this guys saying. Any ideas anyone? |
