Question Wordpress Sites, Joomla, Drupal, etc. don't generate traffic!

    Guys,

I just came across an interesting information on one website of a guy (who claims to have spent two decades in the industry) that says -

"Wordpress Sites, Joomla, Drupal, etc. Don't generate traffic. You'll have to rely on other means than search engines (TV ads, business cards, etc.) to drive traffic to them"
    IS THIS POSSIBLY TRUE?

    He further says -

They are not capable of meeting Google Guidelines.

Cannot optimize - no organic optimization is possible.

For a Wordpress site to exist, at all, in searches, it needs a standard web page for the home page. Without the standard (static) page, you can't use a <meta> tag to verify for search submissions

Also note, in a CMS site, you have no ability to upload files, so you cannot use the alternative method of placing a Google, Yahoo or Bing verifier file in your site's root directory either.

    No Google sitemaps

No way to limit Google's Geographic Target

No robots.txt files (all search engines)

    Diagnosis: dead in the water!
Few other advise from him -

The best examples of Wordpress sites, Joomla, etc have one fatal flaw - they don't show up in searches. There's nothing "under the hood". The car here looks nice but won't make it off the lot!

In the case of a web site, you won't immediately know you have a lemon. All sites take time to bear fruit. After patiently waiting for results - you realize you have a dog, you lost a year, and must start over - from scratch!
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS POSSIBLY A TRUE INFORMATION?

Almost all of that is utter BS. And it's easy to see why: each and every single statement is inaccurate or even plainly false.

Either this person is a charlatan, or he posted some sort of satire.

It's a way for people who know nothing to buy his service.
He's a con artistic. If he had your phone number he would call and tell you what you needed, even thought he don't know you, your site or anything else about you.

    Unhappy

Actually, this guy convinced our client not to use WordPress for his website because it's not good for search engines.

And now the client thinks we misguided him and let to use WordPress

Run his page through Quake diagnosis...

... then you'll see how bullisht he is. The forum won't let me post it, but you can find it pretty easily in Google.

    No xml sitemap?

Also did the view source since Quake isn't foolproof:

<meta name="description" content="Wordpress Sites don't generate traffic, or I'd be building them too. Wordpress Sites are only useful if you use other means than search engines for generating traffic">

I'm a newby and I wouldn't listen to anybody who "tags" his page this way...

Yeah that is almost completely crap.

The fact is many sites, in fact many, MANY sites are built using these CMSs and they definitely generate traffic. Hell, just google Content Management Systems and you'll find Drupal and Joomla both on the front page of results as well as some other CMSs.
