    Thumbs up

Imho the best one is self-developed CMS that fits most of your needs. But if I had to choose between those two premade ones, I would choose Joomla! However, Drupal is great as well.

I will definitely prefer Joomla over Drupal. It's very to use for both users and programmers when we compare it with Drupal. Drupal is also a good CMS but you can get stumped somewhere. In Joomla, it has a large number of extensions, components, plugins, which will be very useful and help you to build your website very quickly.

I agree in some points. Joomla is a little more user friendly than Drupal. At the same time Dupal also have large number of modules, 4500 plus. Joomla becomes slow slow as sites grows.
Drupal is more flexible, more strong and fast in comparion to Joomla. There was a time (2005 - 2007) Joomla ruled, Now Drupal is leading. Look at the open souce CMS awards.
Many high profile sites are built on Drupal

    Wink

Having developed hundreds of CMS systems, I can easily say that Drupal is the easiest and most feature rich platform to work with. In addition to that, all of our clients have been happier with Drupal installs than Joomla installs.

    It's more user intuitive.

I have worked with Joomla for some time and i can advice Joomla for beginners. Though when the site grows is becomes slow. So it is good if one gets to learn all these tools and apply them when needed.

    Drupal for me

I've only built one site with Joomla and a LOT of sites with Drupal - for me the choice is easy. Drupal hands down.

    Prefer Drupal over Joomla

Completely agree with mypctechs, and even I prefer Drupal over Joomla. I have worked on many client projects on Drupal & Joomla, certainly, Drupal is a better choice.
