Which is better???

I am new to seo so forgive me if this has been asked before. I am always being told to have a blog for my sites. My question is, is it better to have a wordpress blog associated with the website or a separate blog on blogger.com about the website.

If the topics on your blog are in relevancy with the content of your site, I think the best if you have your blog on same site inside a separated category. You can check my blog for a concrete sample! It's definitely better for a relevant content because the efforts of your web-marketing works will be much easier. In this case you have to concentrate your efforts on only one domain and their deep links which is time saving for you than the propagation of two different domains. Anyway in an other topic in this forum EGOL has a very good answer for this.
