what to use for blog pinging?

I am thinking about purchasing software that pings 55 different sites for your blog. It's called "Blog Blaster".

I have seen free services that ping 10-20 sites, but am thinking the more sites i ping the better.

what does everyone else use to ping?

I haven't used that one before.. but I do Like "RSS Submit" - I'm a daily user, I'll admit it...and it's a really good choice!

The RSS Submit Professional Edition is $54.95 and well worth it!
There is a huge difference between the personal and professional version regarding capabilities. If you're going to buy it, you must get the PRO version.

(FYI - I have no bias regarding this product, just speaking from experience)

Thanks Scottfish!

I don't suppose any of the Search Engines (like Google) would consider this Spam (and banned you from their index) using automated software like this?

Technically anything that's automated, whether it be RSS submissions, auto rank checkers, etc... is considered not good by google. Their reason is that is eats up valuable resources.

Essentially, you're fine, we all use programs like these, I just wouldn't over do it. When I first started out, I kept checking ranks all day untill finally google sent my browser to an anti-spam page where I had to input some numbers and letters to prove that I was a human.

Just be careful...

I take it this software works well for you and the articles you write in your Blog?

What would a "human" do if they don't have this software? They go to each RSS submit site and do it each by hand? If I would to go the "human" route (not using any software), what sites is the "best" to submit Blog articles. I saw a list on this forum, but it looks like it has 100+ different sites. How do I know which one to start? It seems a bit ridiculous for a few Blog articles I would write!

I looked at this recently and I'm keen to buy it.
I've only ever used Blogger blogs. Would you recommend using a different type of blog and have it connected to your own site?

What's the difference between RSS Submit and pinging services like pingoat and ping-o-matic?

RSS submission sites just add your RSS feed to other RSS directories, whereas RSS Ping services ping (notify) those RSS sites / directories that your RSS feed has been updated. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong?

If your site is not in a RSS directory and you ping them, don't they add you automatically?

i have rss submit and am very pleased with it as well.

why do you resubmit your rss feeds daily though? shouldn't the sites realize that the feed has new content automatically?

did you buy the plugin for rss submit for blog pinging or the pluging for the additional 100 manual submit rss sites?
