What to include in my urls?

I have a new wordpress site and am wondering how to set up my permalinks (how my url's will look).

Here's the issue: I can include the category name in the url, and my categories will have some great keywords that are searched on google a lot. However, the articles in those categories will not necessarily have those same keywords in them.

The question is, will it help my seo to have those keywords in the url, even if those keywords are not in the text of the articles? Or could it possibly hurt my seo?

I think not, those keyword will be included if you put it as a title or in the tags.

The impact is unlikely to make a noticeable difference... but it won't hurt.

I don't think that will make much difference. In fact, most of my blogs are using domain.com/%postname% and I notice they still rank really good for the keyword that I am going after. It's probably 20% about the content and another 80% backlinks.
