then do it again each day for a week or so.....

if you are of above intelligence, you will see ways that it can improve your site - and realise that it is a much better solution than someone just telling you the answer

you should have many ideas of how to use it this time next week if you read heavily on the subject :-)

RSS stands for either Rich Site Summary or Realy Simple Syndication (the dispute is to who actualy came up with the standard - its a long story and not relevant to the technology!).

IT can be very useful from an SEO stand point and a traffic generation stand point.
RSS is just a specific format of XML. You can have a file eg a php file that opens up the XML - RSS feed and reads each tag and the info in it. It then converts the XML into HTML text so you have anautomaticaly updating page getting its data from an RSS file.

If you publish an RSS feed you get lots of people with related sites linking to you and also receive some traffic from it - as most RSS feeds include a link. If you use an RSS feed you get free content that is related to your site and don't have to worry about updating it.

There are on site RSS parsers which convert a feed into an HTMLpage and there are desktop RSS readers that automaticaly update you when a feed you subscribe to has been updated.
I realy rate RSS - it is very useful and is an extremely under used area in online marketing.

Thank you tstolber, I learned something about RSS for SEO purpose, than searching in Google. That is what I see as contribution (After your name), not just say go and search in Google...
