Technorati Tags don't always work for my WordPress site...

Technorati Tags don't always work for my WordPress site...

Sometimes they do work, but for many tags they haven't been working.

For instance I tagged one of my links for "etchings" like
<a href="some link" rel="tag">etchings</a>

But of the 3 posts tagged "etchings" currently in URL
None of them are mine.

Look at the code for the etchings link here...
My Great Grandmothers Etchings

My only thought is that sometimes when you change the timestamp on a WordPress post Technorati doesn't index it right.

I mean say you create a draft of the post a few days before you publish it. Unless you change the timestamp, the published post will have the timestamp time of when the draft was first saved.

Any Ideas?

You have to ping technorati after the post is made in order for the your post to show under the tag.
