Suggestions for marketing my blog?
If i want to get more subscirbers to my blog, what are some good methods to try? Its only 2 months old and i havent posted as much as i need to, but ive written some very good, informational blogs as well as some that are just to talk about a particular product, but according to bloglines, ive got 5 subscribers. Is there a way to see a total # of subscribers from everywhere, or is that # pretty accurate? How can i get more subscribers?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks Justin |

Anyone? My blog has finally been picked up by the search engines and i add links to my ecommerce site in it, but id just like to get more subscribers/impression and get more people commenting. Without that, it feels as though im wasting my time.

Get listed in many blog directories, and start discussing about your blog in forums and other relevant blogs, and also involve your existing customers to interact through your blog.

What up Justin... Great blog man... Here are some ideas for your blog which somewhat overlap what the previous poster said...
Like with any kind of marketing, you HAVE to find out who your target market is... In your case, it would be people who are interested in Aftermarket Performance Parts for Sport Compact Cars... Some parts of your site give me the impression that you actually "Carry" and "ship" these products, and some parts of the site give me the impression that you just offer information about them and where to find them... At any rate, your target market is going to be the same... Go to message boards that focus on discussions about aftermarket parts and just drop your link in there strategically (aka, DON'T SPAM!)... Also if you can, offer a link that will allow someone to subscribe to your blog, and have the link text say something like, "If you're interested in getting updates about aftermarket performance parts, then click here to subscribe to my blog." I've done that for blogs and as corny as it sounds, it's been one of the best ways to get people on board... If you want to get really serious about it, go to conventions or car shows where there are TONS of people walking around just SEEKING HARDCORE for some way to get involved and learn more... You can set up shop with a tent and maybe a laptop and maybe a banner board with all the information on your blog and have a way for them to sign up right then and there... These are just a few ways to market it, but I'd love to talk with you more if you have questions... -Brooks www.virante.com |

Thanks for the reply. Yea, some of the posts look like they are trying to sell a product but not really throw it in your face, but the purpose of it is to help me sell stuff. Im trying ot write more articles that are just plain informative ro say what lots of people in the industry are thinking, so that it will give people a reason to keep reading and to subscribe.
As far as subscribe options, ive got several on the right hand side of the page. Should i place them differently or word them differently? |

I think so, but right off the top of my head, I'm not sure how... The way it is now, it's not really jumping out at me how I can subscribe to this... let me ponder on that one...

For promoting your blog, submit your blog in blog directories, & most important add informative posts in your blog. Use targeted keywords in your blog title. So when visitors use those keywords they will come to your blog & if your posts are informative then those visitors will come to your blog regularly.
