So, what do you think?

Ive been making regular posts on my blog (regular= 3x a week) for several months now, and for the last month ive made one post a day. It seems as though the bots are hitting me more now, but not that much more than before.
Im thinking about starting to post 10-15 times a week to see if it helps me at all.

My thoughts are it will
A. Help my SERPS
B. Get more subscribers to my blog and hopefully some will visit my retail site
C. Both of the above
D. Be a huge waste of my time

Any thoughts?

Merely writing more "won't do much"... it just means more pages that do "nothing much".

Successful blogs have a single premise in common.

Enormously valuable posts of information to others, such that they point it out to others.

You are better to take the time you spend writing a bunch and limit to 4 month where you have invested 20 hours PLUS on a single post...

Truly superb "I NEVER LEARN SO MUCH" information.

If that isn't in your heart - you are not meant to be a blogger - hire someone to do it for you.

well, i post my ride of the day, and i post helpful how to articles and i plan to post a lot more of those, and i post some automotive news and cool finds. Every now and then i suprise myself and post a great article about our industry.
I guess ive kinda used autoblog as an expample because its the biggest automotive blog ive found and its entirely news. But they post 10-20 times a day. Im trying to get as big as them, but with some fun stuff and helpful stuff and the occasional brilliant thought.

In my opinion if you are chasing a blog (or website for that matter) that is already successful, you can never surpass them let alone catch them by duplicating what they do. What they did worked well when no one else was doing it. You have to be creative and do something "more" to be as good. I agree completely with the earlier post, that said do less but do it better. If you do one article that truly has value and gets into the social networks you will have accomplished a lot. I try to look at everything I do on the web as a prospective visitor. Why would I come to your blog when I have your competitors? what is special about it? Where is the value? We do a lot of "tricky" things trying to accomplish good rankings but the foundation for it all is the quality and value of our content!
