Sitemaps, blogs and sites
I have a site with a sitemap. I've also created a subdirectory for a WordPress blog on the site, for which I can generate a sitemap through a WP add-on.
For example: mainsite.com - main sitemap mainsite.com/blog/ - blog sitemap Question is that do I need a single sitemap for the whole site or can I have 2 sitemaps? In other words, should my main sitemap file include the blog sitemap content?

I don't remember exactly but I think it's possible using another file specifying the location of sitemap files (check the Google webmaster central). |

What I did seems to have worked. G is now showing more links from my blog for the main site.

Just to add here, google allows various sub-sitemaps, all you need to specify it in main sitemap.
