SEO for Blogspot blogs
Hi,
I dont think this has been covered already... What optimisation can be done to the blogger template to be more SE friendly? can you use this thread to list all the possible tweaks/ changes and suggest how they help for SEs Thanks

On Page:
You can edit the standard template to a more SE friendly version - optimise the title and description fields. Off page: Build links from blog directories, ask people to link to you, syndicate your blog etc. Basically, if you want to use your blogspot presence as a website (I presume for Adsense) or to test things, you need to treat it exactly the same as a regular website.

It's not too difficult to change, I also edited the Blogger page title to remove only use the post title for individual posts as a lot of results were going into the supplemental index for duplicate content when using the blog title in front of the post title.

Why people waste time developing incoming links to properties they can not control and do not own is completely beyond the scope of reason. You do all the work so that GOOGLE/BLOGGER can rank? Then one day they decide to make a change and POOF it's gone daddy gone. Good luck with that.

Hmm...
Well my friend...
- I don't believe that blogger will fall it's simply too big! - Google to rank from our work? oh..come on... they can easy rank without our work and stuff..and why not they put servers and many options to our disposition for free. - Many people use it to learn and experiment with it, it's easy because you don't have to pay a host or a domain and such...of course it is not big deal...but when you are a beginner it is a big deal. I've started with blogger and now I have over 16 websites with good positions in search engines and some accounts on blogger helped me alot in SEO with the personal domains, and provided me with income in order to buy domains and host for it. So, I encourage people to use it, play with it, learn from it and most important have fun!!!  Try to not be selfish, it is like a community, the Blogger community  . Quote:

Submit your blog url
1) Blog Directory 2) In forum 3) In commenting 4) submit new post in your blog in week 5) submit your post url in social bookmarking sites. and create group and share your post.
