RSS Feed Help

I know what an RSS is but can someone please explain to me the benefits of what an RSS can do for your site SEO wise

Is RSS more for SEM or SEO?

Please put it in layman’s terms thanks

There are always debates about what RSS feeds can do for a website. Some people say RSS feeds constantly update your content, therefore they are a big benefit. Others say search engines have a really hard time crawling them, therefore they have little or no benefit whatsoever.

To be honest, I use RSS feeds more for my website visitors as opposed to search engine spiders; for marketing as opposed to optimization. They imply to human visitors that your website isn't stale and is updated regularly.

That is kind of what I was thinking as well. Would you maybe have a strategy of using RSS along with using some of your own content for search engines? I think that would be a really good strategy for adsense. Agree or Disagree?
