Registration To Check Blog Comment Spamming - Fall In Number Of Comments

Hi

I use wordpress for my blog (786-heba-ks.com/blog/) ,

i used to allow anyone to put a comment on my site, problem is that i used to get lot of SPAM backlinks and trackback links .

but due to spam problem who ever needs to put comment on my site , need to get registered.. Now i don't see any back links or track back links

Please suggest what should i do ?

First of all, welcome to SEOchat

Secondly, I have split your post to a new thread since you are not allowed to hijack threads (posting a different question altogether in an existing thread)

Thirdly, what you are referring to is comment links (external) and not backlinks. You don't need to put registration on your blog to allow users to post comments. WordPress, by default, applies the nofollow attribute on all the external links on your blog (including comments and trackbacks) so that way you are safe. No matter whatever links get posted, Google will not hold you responsible for those links. You still need to moderate though to remove totally irrelevant V.iag.ra and P.or.n links
