Redirecting Blogger/Blogspot site to ny new domain

I have a blog(blogspot) based on web 2.0 logos, icons, etc which is generating good traffic and leads.

Now i have got the TLD with the same name and want to put all the posts in my new wordpress blog. But blogspot does not allow a 301 redirect. So what should I do ?

I dont want to keep two blogs with same name and niche.

Thanks!

Hi,

First off please try to use meaningful/descriptive titles for threads here and to post them in the correct forum.

This question has been asked before. My recollection is that there is no easy way to do it... but I guess you could copy all the content to the new site, remove it from the old site and replace it with a single post explaining that the site has moved to <link>...

If you really can't change the name of the blogspot blog, so be it... 2 websites with the same title are nothing new and the old one will die off eventually because of the lack of indexable / on-topic content and backlinks (assuming you contact all link partners and ask them to change the url)... Even is they don't, the fact that the old site has a single post and a single outbound link pointing at the new site will transfer much of the "link juice" anyway.

It's not perfect but it's a solution!
