Question on blogs and pings
I have just finished a site where I keep a blog, and it was written myself, not with any downloadable software, so I had to devise a method for pinging weblog services (weblog, technorati, blo.gs) of my updates.
Anyways, how soon should I be able to check these directories for my blog 'entry'? I know with google's blogsearch.google.com, any wordpress entries I published could be found on blogsearch.google.com under something like 3 hours or so. Anyone have an idea how to check if my pings worked? |

using pingomatic.com or something similar would have saved you lots of time. they also have a results page after your pings are sent out to multiple sites

I forgot to mention that I also ping pingomatic as well as the others, just in case pingomatic would fail to do so (it has been known to)
