How to orgainse RSS feeds
Hi,
I am new to RSS Feeds and learning tricks of SEO from this great place.
On our hotel related site, we have added 2 different RSS feeds, one related to monthly events in the city and another related to monthly newsletters. Both the xml feeds are updated once every month.
We have given links to these feeds from related pages, i.e. 'events guide' page and 'newsletter archive' page. The link text is 'RSS' and is placed in footer of the page. The events guide page has brief introduction to events of the month etc, and the each event is linked to a page having full details of the event. The newsletter archive page lists all the past newsletters and each newsletter link is linked to a page having html newsletter.
I am not sure, if adding both the RSS feed links separately on one page is helping us or not. Should we create a separate mysite.com/rss page and list both the feeds on this page ? We can then add more feeds to our site and list from this page.
Can some one guide me to create an ideal RSS feeds page which will also be search engine friendly so that search engine visit and pick up the feeds ?
What else should be done to bring in more traffic using RSS feeds ?
Thanks for your help in advance....
