How to add scrolling news feed to my website?
Hi
I have found a Google news search that I am interested in, and have used the RSS link that Google provides. I have also downloaded a RSS aggregator called SharpReader, and I can open the feed that I want in SharpReader by dragging the RSS link into the interface. But how do I convert this Google search into a format that will create a scrolling news bar on my site? Any help would be much appreciated...I'm lost! I'd like it to be W3C compliant as well... Thanks in advance, DJD |

Google News
If you wanted the news to actually 'scroll', your best bet would be implementing something using Ajax. You'd need server side code to import the XML feed from Google, and then implement a JavaScript to display the information in a scrolling format.

Scrolling isn't critical as long as it updated itself regularly. Could I add it without JavaScript and/or Ajax if the News does not scroll?

Sure, what language is your site written in?
Or, what type of a server is your site on? Windows or Linux?
If it's on a Windows server, I just wrote a script yesterday for Google News. |
