How many types of feeds?
I've got my RSS submittion going. I'm currently just using feedburner but I see on other sites they have a list of various one (my yahoo, etc), sometimes 5+.
I'm guessing that this is done to make it easier for people who use various readers, but is this advisable or just a waste of time? If it's advisable, what do you suggest? |

A mate of mine with a popular blog has links set up for Bloglines, My Yahoo, NewsGator, My MSN and a generic one for anything on the desktop. This should cover a great deal of the market of readers.
I must admit, I think that's a bit of overkill for most projects so I just tend to have an 'RSS' button on the pages covered by a feed, from what research I've read most people use the auto-discover part of their feed reader to grab the feed when they know there is one. Though to be honest I don't have a link for that and I'd like to see some better research on it.
