Fun things to add to a blog?

I have a paintball blog that I update everyday. My template doesn't really allow comments to be easily posted, so i'm finding ways to get more "personal" with my readers.

The only thing i have added so far is a poll system that rotates upon every refresh. I'm sure this helps a little, but i'm looking for something more.

What would you suggest I add to my wordpress blog in order to make it more ... "personal" or to get the readers involved more?

A forum?

Hi Pooh,
Off hand I was thinking it might be neat to allow users to upload their own action shots. Though this would require your attention in moderating, aswell as possibly accumulate to a large amount of space.

Forums are also a nice community driver, though require alot of effort in maintaining and establishing. I find alot of community driven sites are more active if the website and forum are integrated well.

G'luck!

Do an reader submitted action shot of the day or even a readers marker of the day, something along those lines. People always want to see what others are using or where they are playing, so it could attract a good member base. Se my thread below about an idea i had for my blog, i just started it but im getting great response and my traffic has already increased.
