Earning from a blog!

Is it true that one can start his/her blog and earn through that? if its possible, could someone explain the economics pls?

I understand its the adsense but what accounts to a space being sought for the ads? My guess is : it depends on how many people visit the blog. but is there a minimum traffic that is to be fulfilled before one starts adsense?

Further, whats the economics. How do people sell the space?
& why dont everybody does it? I mean earn simply by blogging, sitting at home?

Many people do just that. They start dozens (or more ) blogs and "monetize" them. Then, that is how they earn their living.

However, they first build traffic to the blog and increase its Pagerank. Then, that blog becomes more appealing to advertisers.

There is not really a "minimum" traffic goal, but the more traffic the blog gets, the more advertisers are willing to pay, in most cases.

There is much more to it than this, so you should search for information on "monetizing your blog".

There's no minimum "traffic requirement" for you to run adsense on your blog. I feel that this is one drawback of Google adsense program which has led to so many crap MFA sites.

You create a blog..concentrate on its content. Put adsense..and also join some quality affiliate programs which are related to the theme of your blog.

I'd again stress on the quality of the content that you put up on your blog...remember it's the content that will drive in visitors and repeat visitors to your blog...resulting in more ad impressions, more clicks and higher income.

In the course of trying to monetize the free space on your blog..don't make it a MFA blog (Made for adsense blog)

Well after your death, you wouldn't be blogging. LOL!

But it's difficult to start up a blog that makes as much as you would doing a job.

Oh well it sure is for real, but itz not as easy as they talk, it'll take lot of hard work, skill and knowledge and dedication with lil bit of luck to make a good living out a blog or even to make a 2nd income

Another way you could earn from your blog is by selling text links to other sites which is similar to your niche who could use your traffic. Sponsorship on your content is also an option. All this will be possible if you are drawing in a lot of traffic into it. So do more promotion and marketing for your blog and always provide fresh content;)

Even a one company already a site... they also make a blog related to their services... and if one company don't have already a site.. they just make a blogs to expose and at the same time to promote their services... this is the in demand today to earn easily... Blogs can also easy to update unlike the website...

MFA Blog or not, one thing is for sure...Google's bank keeps ticking !! So one may or maynot become rich, Google will for sure become richer.

I wonder why does Google needs to hide the revenue share of the cost per click (CPC)..anyone?

You can also monetize your blog by posting some paid reviews/posts on it. You can register on ReviewMe and you can make money from it. The advertisers need links and topic related content within the article.
