Bing Ads > AdWords - Why so few posts?

In ROI terms, Bing is beating AdWords for me in the majority of industries. So why few posts in this forum?

I think Bing is mounting up to take on Google, big time. And I believe they have a good chance of over taking them. It's like SEO though, it's going to take some time.
Anyone see the bing~v~google ad on the telly?

I've seen a few of them. I do find it funny that part of the initial Bing it On campaign was all about Google having paid shopping listings and now Bing is getting ready to roll out the same thing.

Google is being massively aggressive with the marketing...apparently they hired one of the guys from obama's team to help them 'go negative' for their initial scroogled campaign.....

Bing vs. Google depends a lot on industry / market
The two engines have different demographics. A lot of people report more traffic from Bing, I see less compared to Google. It sometimes has a slightly better ROI because my industry isn't bidding as aggressively on Bing, conversion rate varies from better to worse, but not by a ton. CTR on the ads is much higher in Bing but I attribute that to less competition.

In the end though I feel like optimizing for google and copying over works fine. Bing just wishes it was google, so most of the same strategies work.

If there is a very different strategy I would be interested to hear what it is.

Did not expect this. I guess its because many browsers now set their homepage to Bing.

    • realityhack agrees : Quite possibly, but IIRC a majority of people are running chrome now so it may depend upon market.

Just finished running a set of analytics on both Adwords and Bing advertising.
I exclude our site name because it converts disproportionately and throws the numbers off.

    N = > 1k for Google.

    CTR: Bing ~ 2/3 Google
    Orders: Bing < 1/10 Google
Avg: value too volatile to compare given Bing's low traffic
    CPA: Bing = 2 * Google

Gota say, for my industry Bing bites.

Is there any good coupons to get started on Bing? We tried Adwords for our site and it was mainly just a waste of money compared to what we can do through fiverr or extending reach of our facebook updates.
