Is there a Yahoo update goin on?
Anybody else is seeing changes in SERPs.
In the first 50 results for my keywords there are ONLY authority sites, some of them twice or more times. Weird...
Maybe they are getting better?

Re-check and I bet the SERPs would have changed for your KWs in Y! by now.Originally Posted by tybij/j

NONO, nothing has changed...There are autority sites in the SERPs but not relevant.
On accommodation related keywords, the yellow pages in the results?
Why should someone search for accommodation on yellow pages???When there is tripadvisor or fodors or ........ or mysite.com![]()
I can't find my site using site:domain.com while it was there yesterday. I have never seen anything like that on yahoo.
Search results count compared to google are way lower.
I agree. Isn't Y! becoming much like G?
If site:yoursite.com returns no result and your site isn't quite new, then most probably it has been banned by Yahoo.
Give it a while before making a conclusion. Then your best bet will be to probe into the factors (eg. Duplicate content, linking to bad neighborhood, massive keyword stuffing, hidden links to name a few.) that caused your site get banned and clean it up. Then send a re-inclusion request at reportsearchspam@yahoo.com and wait until it re-indexes your site.

I have a site that came back into the first SERP ( it has been taken down to #80 with the last update ). Still, the first spots are hold by 100% spam sites, but I strive to believe it is getting better as EGOL said.
tybi, its just Y have gone a little bonkers today.Originally Posted by tybi

Trust me on this one - They normally display a LOT more results for that phrase, or any other phrase for that matter.
my panic attack went away when I tried site:mysite.com from another computer in the same home network. I got the results just fine. Why isn't it working on my own computer I have no idea. I then contacted other peple around the world and they all see normal results. WTF did I do with my computer that prevents me from showing correct results. Am I reaching some obscure datacenter of theirs that went nuts or what?
I am having the exact same problem. Do you have any link tracking software that you run from that machine. I know I do but I run it like once a month. Is it possible Yahoo picked this up and is stopping searches for that domain from your IP?
Actually I noticed that it was related to my browser. I deleted all my Yahoo! cookies and now my site is turning up.
