I have this question in my head. When a website ranked so well after participating sitematch for the first month the next month the owner decides not to put any money in sitematch and let the fund dry.
What will yahoo do?
Option 1: remove the site from index?
Option 2: suck it up and let the site stay in their index to avoid bad PR? And blame it on marketing people who came up with a lousy idea? After all they claim that there is no human involvement when ranking sites, regardless of using a paid program. So one would think that Yahoo rank the paid site in organic listing because that site deserve it and is important enough to rank well. And if they remove or lower the ranking of that site just because of the lack of fund, that violates the trust between Yahoo and its users. Besides they never mensioned that the site would be removed once you cancel site match. Its like shooting their own foot.
I would definitely love to hear from somebody who did this to Yahoo.
