On my weblog it took 3 weeks. On my website I have submitted it every month for 10 months and still no luck.

I think the right answer is eternity. There used to be a phone number you could leave a message on. Now where is that phone number...

    Cool

Read the fine print on Yahoo. You may never get in, The free submission has no guarantees, and so we can't predict at all. Good luck. It can happen, so keep your fingers crossed.

Get links from pages that are already in their index.

Yahoo and how long does it take etc.

"Get links from pages that are already in their index".
I don't think that this will ensure that your site gets indexed or indexed any quicker.
My observation is that YAHOO is extremely slow to add sites and doesn't appear to be updating very often. Some of my pages have had alterations to the content, description and title months ago but YAHOO is still displaying the previous page info. GOOGLE is much more efficient and can update the search results in days.
