Do some research on "How much Traffic you can get from Bing", the answer will not encourage you to optimize a website for bing - I am sure about that. Still if it is customer's requirement (I guess this the reason why you are looking for bing optimization) - then my suggestion is concentrate on what you are doing for Google. Those factors will help you to rank in other search engines too.

I'll disagree with this - overall numbers may be lower but look closer. On many sites I've seen much higher conversion rates from Bing and Yahoo than Google - so fewer visitors but higher quality.
SEO for Bing and Google are becoming increasingly similar - do it for Google and you do it for Bing.

I'd say, for SEO for bing just do what you did for google about 1 year ago. It's a pretty solid tactic, imho. Yahoo/Bing are lagging behind google.

I think if you have a solid SEO foundation you will rank in bing to. One thing I have noticed with my bing and google rankings is that I would rank high for one keyword term in one and low for the same in the other. Not sure how to explain it but I have seen it happen over several sites.

At first add your website & sitemap.xml to Bing webmaster tools.Bing support to much to Microsoft software. I recommend you to use Microsoft techniques and tools in your site like databases and sitemaps and build links for your site through bing and use common keywords as bing requires for marketing.
