It may be you are right that google and yahoo is more used by researcher but result in altavista, hotbot and askjeeves why we get very easily & with lots of number visits by searching keyword.

Msn Ranking criteria
You can use bold text in the header and make as much link as u can because msn need links, the more links your website have ,the more you rank and the more traffic can catch

You should not expect nearly as much traffic from MSN as you can from Google simply because Google has many many more users.
However, I will share with you my experience and I hope it helps you out. I had a site that was doing well in Google and was ignored by MSN. I did a site wide change to all sites and also freshened up the site with a lot of new content. Within a few weeks my MSN traffic went from nil to regular daily traffic. Although this traffic does not compare to my Google traffic and never will the lesson that can be learned is that MSN favors fresh content. If your pages are updates regularly with new content your site will get more MSN traffic.

You should be happy if you're getting a nice result on msn...cause it's really tough to get in their ranking and it's really a quality result they are showing...less spam results compared to G and Y...

It's really quite difficult to pull more traffic from MSN and Live. I agree to what they have mentioned that it's because most of people are using Google and Yahoo for searching online.

This was always surprising to me, since live search is the IE default search. Thought there would be a large amount of people that never changed it. I suppose, though, that the PC manufacturers probably modify the default search.
