    Baidu Prefers Local Servers

    Hi All,

I've learned that Baidu prefers local servers / ip addreses and will provide benefit to ranking. Can anyone confirm this to be true?

    Thank you!

I'm guess by local servers / ip addresses you mean that that are in China?

I can't prove or disprove this, but it would make a lot of sense. Google and other search engines also look at a myriad of factors in determining which sites to show... tld, language on the page, the user's IP location, keywords used, etc. They all could apply to Baidu as well.
