Site missing from Ask Jeeves
Hi
We used to rank very high for some keywords with Ask Jeeves but seems recently the site has been de-indexed. Even a search on the domain doesnt turn up any results. Banned? I have no idea why it would be banned. I know Ask Jeeves doesnt send much traffic but its still a plus being there. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

It is not a big loss if you are not in Askjeeves

I am still trying to get my website in Jeeves. I am in about every other SE out there and rank relatively well for important keywords.

site missing as well
I have just seen the same situation. It is very strange. I have gone from top ten positions in askjeeves for 2 years to completly missing!
My stats are showing askjeeves spiders my site regularily. I have always been consistent with hits to my site from askjeeves, in the top ten of my stats. Any ideas of what's going on? Kimberly |

I think the best way to answer your question and inform a few other members posting responses is to clarify where these results are coming from....
First of all, it's not AskJeeves.com any more, its Ask.com. Secondly, Ask.com gets its top 3 listings (which are paid or PPC) from Google, so getting top 3 with them will be paying for being in the top 3 results for your kw/kw phrase on Google Adwords. Third, By doing this you also will get traffic from HotBot, Lycos and DogPile (which I actually use sometimes), so its worth the $ in most cases. And last, if you deal in an Ecommerce site you'll be doing well paying for this traffic because Ask.com furnishes Snap.com with its secondary results. Snap does a cool thing...it takes a snapshot of the website and Firefox (a browser thats better than IE), which will undoubtedly get you additional traffic) has a Snap extension that is getting a lot of press and traffic.
