Get into ask.com

it's really diff to get into ask.com than google.com.

anybody know the quickest & easiest way.

So how long did you wait for your site to get indexed in ask.com.

ask.com took abt 4 to 5 months.

I have had a website for 4 years and 3 of them have been inclusion in the ODP directory.. I cant seem to get in ask at all sob sob, I have no idea why????

My site is 5 yrs old and has been indexed by Ask and then quickly deindexed a few times in those years. It ranks well in the big 3.

I asked Ask why they were snubbing my site... I explained i had a quality informational site with abundant unique content that was very popular - i told them that I could find 100s of pages they had indexed that were linking to me so they must know about me - I asked why they snubbed me but included so many of my low-quality competitors when no one was linking to them and they had no unique content?

I got a reply which said that it appeared as though my meta-tags had been blocking them out at some point but now that i had recently changed my meta-tags, they should soon index my site?????

My meta tags had never disallowed them and i didn't recently change them. That was a month ago. I'm still not indexed.

If you Ask me, Ask is clueless.

My sites do get indexed and crawled by ask

The trick is to get some links from the sites that are already being visited by that bot.

One question....

Those of you have top listings in Ask get how much traffic from it? It will be far less than the traffic one can get by being in the 2nd or 3rd page of Google.

And for your information. Ask fetches its search results from Google.

I can't remember the last time I saw a referrer from ask...... I also don't think I have ever seen someone with it as their home page and don't remember anyone actually ever using it to search in front of me.....

They have nice commercials on television though, I will give them that....

I manage hundreds of domains and while they all get indexed by ask (already had 3 million hits by them this month). As far as traffic from them is concerned I have only seen maybe 2 or three hits from them in my referrer logs. They cost us more money in bandwidth than they are worth. I'm definitely thinking about blocking them from my servers completely.

I get some traffic from ask but as far as going looking for it, it isn't worth it to me. I generally find it is not quality and doesn't convert half as well as Google traffic. If MSN and yahoo lack traffic ask certainly has a much smaller amount than even them. If you can rank on the top 3 I would stick with that. I sometimes have all I can do just to work on getting positions in google not to mention the other 2, let alone ask or the lower class engines.

actually do you have to submit to ask and get indexed or no need to submit but they will crawl already indexed site and find site thru the link.

If you are getting traffic from ask.com and its converting into sales and your living off of it... LOL your living a lie and no offense you dont deserve to be in the industry.

I am sorry but someone has been pulling your legg. for quite some time.

I get no traffic from ASK..none whatsoever...


and pro_seo ASK.com does not get organic search results from Google...Its gets some of its PAID advertising from Google not the organic search results....
