Could anyone tell me what the meaning of the binocular icon is within the serps??

Not sure about this, but Google uses a binocular icon as a search link in some of its software, i.e., click on the icon and it initiates a search funcion.

Why would you click on the binocular icon, instead of on the heading of the result? Either way, you get to the sitepage.
