Question Moving URLs - from Blogspot to .com

Hi Guys,
I'm moving my blog from blogspot to a .com,
I was wondering if someone knows how to get the Alexa rank to be the same at the new domain.
I'm setting up a redirection using a "Switch to a Custom Domain", Pointing my own registered domain name, but I don't know if the Alexa ranking will be kept,
Has anyone had similar experience?
Thanks
Lucio Dias Ribeiro

No it is not possible directly. But after a brief review for a few days of your traffic for your site you can find the same stats to your new domain only if your visitors type your .com domain insted of blogspot.com

Lucio... Welcome to SEO Chat. Do yourself a favor and do some reading of the threads in the Alexa forum here. Unless you are selling links, ads, or your site to some know-nothing... Alexa rankings are meaningless. I am not flaming you... just do some reading.

Ignoring it is the best strategy.

Hi Buddy,
thanks for your advice,
I'm afraid I don't agree with you, even that SEO is still best time spending in terms of resources, (unfortunately or not) Alexa ranking is (yes) still important when you are negotiating advertise space on your website / blog.
And I'm not talking about selling links but Advertise space.
Whether this is right or wrong is another problem, but the fact is thousands of advertisers with media buyer power guide themselves based on included Alexa Ranking.
Thanks anyway for your reply appreciate.
Cheers
Lucio

SEO_AM agrees: I forgot to mention ad negotiation also. I hear you.

You don't own Blogspot therefore it is not really a domain transfer, since your blog previously was a sub-domain of Blogspot.
I guess you will have to restart from zero.
