Is Alexa getting more difficult?
Hi,
We noticed our Alexa rankings drop substantially just as the number of pages spidered by Google had doubled. Nothing else has changed, ie. traffic, visitors with toolbars, backlinks, (number and quality and maintenance) etc, etc. Just want to hear what everyone else has experienced and get some suggestions. steve at www.agencysf.com Last edited by stevegmv : January 20th, 2005 at 08:21 PM. |

These two events are most likely a coincidence. The reason for the huge drop was someone who goes to your site a lot uninstalling their toolbar. Unless you are in the Top 10,000 , one uninstall of a frequent visitor can do this.
Alexas backlinks are around 9 months behind so you can't even put any credit to them. I wouldn't spend another minute worrying about it. Quote:
