Ranking of onlycy.com in alexa
Please help me with the following issue.
Two months ago, my website onlycy was around 70.000 in alexa world ranking and about 22nd in Cyprus ranking.
This month, although visitors have increase dramatically, around 30% increase compared to the last month, the website has lost around 10 positions in Cyprus.

How to improve the ranking again?
Get your new visitors to use the useless Alexa toolbar. Alexa uses the toolbar to track visitors. If they don't have the toolbar then Alexa can't see them so even though you have 30% more traffic, Alexa has no way of seeing them!
This begs the question is your Alexa ranking that important? Isn't your increase in traffic more important? Shouldn't you be analyzing why you're getting this boost in traffic to find way to improve it even further?

Although you are absolutely right, some advertising agencies pay more attention to alexa rankings instead of looking into the traffic verified by google analytics.
As a result, onlycy.com ranking in alexa plays a vital role for attracting new ads.

Right then, back when I thought Alexa mattered I had an Alexa widget on my site. It helped increase Alexa rank but didn't seem to keep pace with the increase in traffic, so I removed it to reduce load time. Alexa rank dropped after that. Here's the link:- http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/widgets

What 2 bit advertising agencies are those?
Do they actually provide you with a revenue stream? Like enough to pay a living wage?
I do actually want to know because on the off chance I ever hire an ad display agency I don't want to hire one that thinks Alexa is more than a terrible joke someone played on the internet.

I just try to write unique content on popular, interesting topics. Use anchor texts properly. Very less lnlinks, but it's working!!!!
And the site I work for is just under 200,000... and I don't give a crap because what matters to me is my gross product sales, gross shipping costs, net profit, and paycheck. I LOVE my paycheck.
I could probably shave another 50,000 off that rank by running a small bot farm but it wouldn't effect the metrics I care about in a positive manner. It would just cost money.

I agree with you.
I do not like alexa very much. It counts only the visitors with alexa toolbar and in that way measures and values your website. To increase your alexa rank the natural way you can say that you have to say to your visitors to install alexa toolbar, than you will see the differences.
I opened a blog, webmillionaireshome.com, before a month and a half and I got alexa 4'991'968.
More important are Page ranks (PR), and the number of daily unique visitors.
Use google.com/analytics and you will monitor how you are doing.
Using alexa boosters and stuff, you are only enjoying for yourself without real results.
