Alexa Ranking increase by 2750% for http://www.ourwedding.in
We were able to increase our alexa ranking by over 1000% in just under 3 months, using the redirect.

We placed the Alexa Widget to display the alexa rank on the home page. This helped our ranking to jump by another 2000% in 2 months.

The code we added for thus: -- we are new to site so we cannot post URL's.

Alexa is a CRAP.Alexa traffic could show wrong figures. The main thing is Alexa toolbar is not installed on the online visitors system.

I agree with fryman. Alexa is not a measure of true SERP. I just hate the whole idea of using the toolbar. Is that really SERP? Can't your competitors tip the scales with the Alexa toolbar?

Why even bother? Who cares about those results? Good SERPs are the only real thing that will bring you visitors. If you really want to pump up your Alexa ranking go to ebay and search for one of those boosters, you can get one for 5 bucks.

DOn't worry about Alexa. Webmaster related niches will always dominate. Example I had a way lower alexa then a friend who ran a celebrity blog while she was getting thousands of uniques a day I wasen't.

Most people willing to pay for advertising know the alexa game

Lots of dirty tricks to increase alexa rankings. I do not know how, but I know one blog where the owner do some nasty tricks, which his blog rank is around 250,000. But I found no ranking keywords in GOogle, no referral traffic and no adsense income. Even though the site is full of ads.

He never reveal his technique, though it is useless and meaningless.

New Websites and Alexa
Wondering if someone could help me out here.

Over the last month the alexa rank for my site has gone up considerably ( from ~10,000,000 to ~1,000,000).....wooohoo!!!, while the actual site traffic has remained the same. It is a relativly new site and I am wondering if Alexa takes this into consideration when determining rank.


I would also be happy to take a look at anyones site out there if they send me the link.

I also agree with full house. Even though Alexa rank may not be the best indicator of your sites performance, there are still a lot of people that want to increase their rank, not to mention a lot of clients that rely on Alexa when making a decision about whether to advertise on your site of not. I just lost a client today for that very reason.

Alexa ranking is only useful for publisher or advertising media to show to media buyers their site alexa ranking.
