Alexa

Hello ..

IMO the best way to get a good Alexa rank is to propose the Alexa toolbar on your site... Nice

True.

Yet, anyone know how to make Symantec AntiVirus and SpyBot-S&D ignore Alexa Toolbar?

They find and kill Alexa-Toolbar every time I install it;
Skipping-Scan the "Alexa folder" in "Program files" seems
insufficient...

Alexa Rank

Alexa is farely accurate for websites in the top 100,000, but it is true that people can exercise alexa to beef up your rank. You do not have to pay anyone to do such a thing, you can do it yourself. Check out my article on Alexa and let me know if if helps.

everythingkitchens.com/increase_alexa_rankings.html

this site blocks URL's so you'll have to add the w's

Why even bother? Who cares about those results? Good SERPs are the only real thing that will bring you visitors. If you really want to pump up your Alexa ranking go to ebay and search for one of those boosters, you can get one for 5 bucks.

What good Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) are the only thing that will bring you visitors?

Wrong what if you site are not on the result pages they are still called SERPs weather your site is on there or not and if its not then its not going to bring you nothing maybe you should check what things mean before you state them trying to make yourself look like an expert, a good position in the search engine result pages (SERPs) will bring you visitors

Well alexa's not F*cking Google is it, we use it for traffic rankings its one way you can judge if you are getting more traffic than your competitors although im sure if you were one of the movers and shakers or top 10 you would receive some traffic from them

Hi John, I kind of agree with you Alexa is useful for some things but its security and accuracy are a problem and I don't think search engines even look at its data I know Google doesn't so that should mean most don't

My Alexa traffic says a improvement of 802,415 3 month change of 474,302 which is wrong I started out at 2.5 million so I don't know where they get that data their own data even counterdicts itself, how can they say they began ranking me a 1.2 million when I saw 2.5 or so for a whole month... lol. A three month change of 75 percent... Not bad their since it should be 100 percent since I had 0 traffic 3 months ago. Overall a 3 month change of 50 percent. Well its all pretty good but technically not very accurate. I realize I am a new site but to say I rank 800,000 buy the traffic I am currently getting is very wrong.

If tey are going by a9.com search data it can only be a guess it has to be a guess if they go by such a small sample of searches. The only way for them to get a more accurate reading is if they had more toolbars out their or borrowed yahoo and googles data.

I am guessing they are in bed with google so they probably get their data from like last month or something.

This is just my 2 cents of course.

Alexa Masures the change from your first rank if that was within 3 months not from zero 3 months ago I mean if you have 0 traffic and it goes up 100% how much traffic do you now have 0 idiot a percentage cannot be created from a starting point of zero didn't you go to maths.

But they are not going by A9.coms data they are going by toolbar data have you don't any research.

Well your not very good at guessing are you the data is not last months my Alexa raking is changing daily and if Google was in bed with them they would probably be the number 1 ranked site in the world as I believe they are the only reason Google is not number 1 is because most Google users who use a toolbar use the Google one and not the Alexa one. if google was in bed with them they would have added something to their toolbar to feed them data but to my knowledge and anyones knowledge Google gives them zilch.

If you would tell me your web address I would tell you how you have gone wrong with alexa here

It wasn't even worth 2 cents I want a refund

Also, avoid those so-called "Alexa cheaters", or "Alexa rank boosters". They do NOT work, and even if they do work, they boost your Alexa rating by a good 1000 or so. Check the sites that sell such products and look at their rating. Obviously, you'd think they'd have a high Alexa rating.

Maybe because a stats tool gives you no data on you competitors site does it but alexa does providing they get enough traffic

Its obvious that more traffic means better ranking this is the natural way to do it and I should imagine that everyone here knew this already

Yes I can !

Buy a 100,000 PCs.

Have dedicated internet connections for each.

Install the alexa toolbar in each of them.

Open the site at least twice-thrice per day and visit some internal pages (this has to be done on all the 100,000 PCs)

Check your alexa rank after 1 month.

If the rank doesn't increase as you wished -buy another 100,000 and repeat the process.

I wonder if the total amount spent on this could have earned a 25% stake at Alexa
