How can we improve our ranking on Alexa. Does Alexa play important role to gain high rank.

Dont worry about alexa much its crap.It gathers its data from computers that have alexa toolbar installed and nowhere else. ok here's a way to boost your alexa ratings

install alexa toolbar on ur pc,install alexa toolbar on ur friends pc,install alexa toolbar on ur friends friends pc and friends friends friends pc and so on and ask them to visit your site many times a day.

U shall see your alexa ratings to increase..its as simple as that.

Don't waste your time on ALEXA. It is meerly a traffic rank to show which sites are used the most. The lower the alexa ranking the more visits a site gets.

The ALEXA rank plays no role in search engine rankings for the major search engines. There are a couple of small engines that use this data but you don't need to worry about them.

The ALEXA rank is a good idea but the data is skewed because the people who have the ALEXA toolbar installed are technically orientated people and are not representative of the main stream useage of the internet.

Don't waste any further time worrying about it!

Alexa is not an important..... If you want to rank high in alexa ranking.. I have heard about Alexa booster....

Installing Alexa Booster may give alexa rank increament....

So back to the original question....How can we improve the Alexa Ranking?

I read that the rank drops by visitors reaching a site via the Alexa Toolbar. Is this true?

I believe Alexa ranking measures only the traffic of your site and alexa was only displaying that and can't do anything to increase your traffic..

Yes thats correct.

If your Alexa rank would change (reduce not increase though - which ironically is increasing traffic) if you used AdWords effectively.

Hopefully, if you did it right, your wallet ranking didn't go down too much!

What about a Internet buyer? Will they go and check for those site traffic before making deal?

It's not necessary to get high rankings in alexa. Alexa computes the traffic that the sites gets. I suggest, focus on getting high ranking in search engine one's you have higher ranking on search engine you will have lots of visitors on your site then the next thing that would increase is your alexa rankings.
